Income Protection

How long would you be paid if you we off sick from work??  What if you were out of work for more than six months?

In the above example, there are many people do not receive income from their employer and would be dependent on social benefit which is a little over €200 per week!  Would this be enough to pay mortgage, bills, and live comfortably while you are recovering?

In most cases the answer is NO so we recommend that you look at an income protection policy.

With an Income Protection Policy you are eligible for full tax relief at your marginal rate of income tax. Which means if you pay tax on the higher rate of 41% – you can also claim back 41% of your monthly premium!

For self employed individuals– there is no "sick pay" or "social benefit" at all so it is even more important that you speak to Ray Cooke Financial Services about your own protection policy today!

 

 

House Insurance
